The inspiration for this piece was the creation and ending of our life, we start our lives in a fetal position in our mother’s womb. While we do not literally die in the same position – those who live a long life risk become a someone who needs care in the same way a baby or a child do.
A less morbid take on the artwork comes from thinking that this piece represents evolution and that anyone can evolve in life at any age or stage you can “re-new” or “re-invent” yourself.
