Inspired by the Miami Beach “friends hanging” sessions of 2006- 2007, best friends together enjoying the water, sun, music and good company. This painting captures a candid moment as best friends enjoy their time together.
The free-spirited feeling of the work embodies the mantra of the beach hanging sessions… live, as it may be your last day enjoying the all the fun in the sun till it sets!
The depth in the relationship of the friends is symbolized by the thick gesso that was applied to the canvas prior to applying the paint. This also provides a unique dimension and movement which helps make the work come to life and help tell the story.
